LG Polls: Afolabi Assures Infrastructural Development As PDP Takes Campaign to Ward 7 Babasanya

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chairmanship Candidate, Hon Lukman Afolabi, and his campaign team, on Thursday, stormed Ward 7 Babasanya where they were warmly received by crowd of supporters and party members.

Presenting the party’s chairmanship candidate and councilors to the people at the market square in Babasanya Ward Hon. Oyebode said the party is presenting the best candidate for the election with competence, pedigree and experience to move the local government forward.

He noted that a vote for the party is a vote for the progress and prosperity of Ede South.

Also speaking, the former ALGON secretary Hon. Afolabi commended his supporters at Babasanya Ward for their show of love to over the years of his political journeys just as he assured them that his development plan would go around all the wards of the local government.

He promised that all benefits accrued to Ede South from both state and federal government under his leadership will be utilized to deploy infrastructures of the council and its residents.

Receiving over 100 decampees from All Progressive Congress,APC, Labour Party LP, and other parties, the local council chairman of the party promised that the PDP will treat all of them equally.

He appealed to residents of Ede South to come out en masse to vote by ensuring that the PDP records a landslide victory.

Princess Oyenike Oyeyemi, who spoke on behalf of decampees from APC said she was tired of APC and single-handedly told Mr. Gboyega Oyetola that he was leaving the party after seeing the development that is happening in all areas of Osun state.

The Chairman Local Government Service Commission Hon Tunji Adeleke who came surprisingly to join the campaign said lets support Abere Soose. this is our candidate, he will be the winner. He is okay and I’m in great support of our candidate.

Blaze Newz gathered that the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has fixed February 22, 2025 for the conduct of local government election.
