Don’t Destabilize Peace Of Ede Because Of Politics – Concerned Youths Caution FEYDA Excos

Concerned youths of Ede under the aegis of Ede Prosperity Is Ours (EPIO) have cautioned executives of Forum of Ede Youth Development Association (FEYDA) against distabilizing peace of the town with political intricacies.

EPIO in a statement signed by its coordinator, Raji Ishola, on Saturday, and made available to Blaze Newz said they found the brouhaha rocking FEYDA as unnecessary distraction to cause political crisis in Ede.

Ishola, who condemned move of the purported suspension of FEYDA President, Comrade Waliu Afolabi and his VP 1, Comrade Oluwadare Moruf, by seven executives of the association backed by an ex-officio urged them to retrace their step and consider love and unity in their dealings.

EPIO coordinator explained that their investigation revealed that the FEYDA seven executives including the ex-officio who masterminded the suspension move are card carrying members of All Progress Congress, APC,.

He added that despite having the constitutional freedom to be a member of any political party hiding under the party to create public breach of peace is unacceptable.

He, however, appealed to all individual involved in the ongoing brouhaha of FEYDA to douse the tension saying there will be no development in a place where there is crisis.

EPIO statement reads in part ” It has come to our attention the purported suspension of FEYDA President and his VP 1 by seven executives and one ex-officio of the association.

“We found the move political as our independent investigation revealed that the eight individual who signed the purported suspension are APC members.

“Our group condemn the move in totality as this could lead to unnecessary political crisis capable of stigmatizing ongoing development in our dear town, Ede.

” We will also like to state that despite every indigene of Ede has the constitutional liberty to be a member of any political party of their choice, hiding under the party to cause public breach of peace is unacceptable.

“We are appealing to all party involved in this brouhaha to retrace their step, restore unity and peace in the association and not to destabilize peace of Ede because of politics.

“We will also like to state here that our group is not taking side with affected members of FEYDA on this issue but only concerned about the prosperity of Ede.
