2024 Ede Day: Planning Committee Pays Courtesy Visit To Local Government Civil Service Commission Chairman

Tunji Adeleke Appointed Chairman of Youth Contact (Diaspora)

The Chairman of the 2024 Ede Day Central Committee, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, on Thursday, led the planning committee on a courtesy visit to Hon. Tunji Adeleke, Chairman of the Local Government Civil Service Commission, at his office in Abere.

During the visit, Dr. Nurein Lawal, Secretary of the Planning Committee, emphasized the importance of keeping the Tunji Adeleke informed about the upcoming events and the committee’s progress.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Lawal praised Hon. Tunji Adeleke, for his contributions to the community. He also highlighted the significance of the Ede Day celebration.

According to Dr.Lawwl “Osun State is turning into a hub of development. We are celebrating our land, our heroes, past and present. You have represented the youth admirably, and we are very proud of you.”

Hon. Lukman Afolabi, Chairman of the Planning Committee, also commended Hon. Tunji Adeleke for being a distinguished son of Ede and for making the town proud in various ways.

“We are here to appreciate your good deeds and to officially inform you about the 2024 Ede Day celebrations. We want you to play a significant role, not just as a community leader but as the president of 30BG.

“We hope that through your influence, you can bring David Adeleke (Davido) to the event, as we plan to honor him as one of our own, making us proud globally.

“We are appointing you as the Chairman of the Ede Day Youth Contact Committee for the diaspora.”

In response, Hon. Tunji Adeleke expressed gratitude for the recognition and the appointment.

“I am honored to accept this invitation and the role of Youth Contact Diaspora Chairman with great gratitude. I am happy to be part of this important celebration.”

The visit concluded with a vote of thanks by Comrade Osama, Deputy Chairman of the Publicity Committee. He thanked God on behalf of the Planning Committee and expressed appreciation to Hon. Tunji Adeleke for his swift acceptance of the invitation.

“You received our invitation today and immediately asked us to come. You are truly your father’s son, and we are very proud of you,” Comrade Osama said.
