Adeleke Harps On Peaceful Co-existence In Osun Communities

Commissions four micro projects In Ile-Ife, Modakeke
Residents laud Governor Adeleke, Osun-CSDA
Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has harped on the need for communities in the state to shun all forms of crisis and live together with peace.
Governor Adeleke represented by Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Professor Ademola Adeleke at the commissioning of four different projects in Ile-Ife and Modakeke on Monday made the appeal.
Addressing beneficiaries of the micro projects Governor Adeleke said his government was able to implement the projects because residents of the the project sites allowed peace to continue to reign in their communities.
He, however, assured them that his government with bring more intervention programs to them, urged them to continue to support him in his bid to transform the state.
“Where there is no peace, the government will not be able to do what it supposed to do.
“What we have done is just a beginning and this can be done with the support you give.
“I want to urge you to maintain the projects because that is the essence of the five percent counterpart fund you contributed.”
The governor sought for continuous support for his government in the bid to transform the state .
The micro projects commissioned are ; motorised borehole and VIP toilet at Molodo Community and Alawe community, Sabo.
Others are, motorised borehole at Oke Ayo, Ile Funfun Community and renovated school hall of the Apostolic Grammar School, Modakeke.
Commissioner for Community and Rural Development, Hon.Gani Olaoluwa, urged beneficiaries of the project to make good use of the micro projects.
He noted that Governor Adeleke is doing everything possible to ensure that dividends of democracy get to the grassroots.
Speaking, General Manager of the Osun Community and Social Development Agency (Osun-CSDA) Mrs Funmi Abokede, lauded Governor Adeleke, noted that his prompt release of fund made completion of the micro projects possible.
Abokede who congratulated beneficiaries of the micro projects for successful implementation urged them to make good use of them and maintain them for unborn children to benefit from them.
A resident of the area Prince Adefioye Bakare expressed gratitude to the governor for his commitment to development in rural communities.
Expressing their happiness, some of the residents of the beneficiary communities who spoke with Blaze Newz said the project will make life more easier for them.
According to a middle age woman Iya Saheed, who owns a tailoring shop at Molodo community said she used to go outside the communities to use a public toilet.
Thanking the governor and Osun-CSDA, Iya Saheed said with the commissioning of the project in her community they can get access to portable water and VIP toilet.
Abubakar Audi, a trader at Sabo, Ile-Ife said the governor has done what they (Hausa Community) did not expect his government will do for them.
He prayed for continuous success and God’s guidance for the Governor Adeleke-led government.
