Varsity Department, NBAIS Celebrate Arabic Week
In a commendable effort to give back to society and engage youths for a better tomorrow, the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) has actively supported the Arabic Poetry and Oration Competition, organized by the Association of Arabic Students of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, as part of the activities marking the 2024 Arabic Week.
The event was rounded up with the announcement of the Poet of the Year and Orator of the Year, recognizing the outstanding talents of young participants.
Prizes and certificates were presented to the winners, celebrating their achievements and contributions to the rich tradition of Arabic poetry and oration.
During the closing ceremony, the Registrar of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies, Professor Yahuza Sulaiman Imam was presented with an Honorary Award in recognition of his dedication to promoting Arabic studies and his unwavering support for youth engagement initiatives.
This event highlights the important role of educational institutions in nurturing talent and fostering cultural appreciation among the youth.
