Professor Sidiqat A. Aderinoye-Abdulwahab and Professor Azizat Amoloye-Adebayo have been tasked to give back to the Muslim Ummah their wealth of knowledge, especially the younger generation.

This charge was made by Akire of Ikire-Ile Kingdom, HRM Oba Olatunbosun Abdulazeez, during a special program organized by NACOMYO, Oyo chapter, held at University of Ibadan, Hotel Conference Centre, on Sunday, to celebrate their professorship accomplishment.

The royal father in his prayer of gratitude thanked Allah for His blessings on the two female professors saying their academic attainment was a special favour and Rahmah of Allâh which He showers on whoever He likes.

Oba Olatunbosun, who identified the support of their husbands as integral factor for their success said “Your husbands deserve gratitude too. Their guidance, support and sacrifice are part of what have brought you this glory and success. May Allâh continue to uphold your family and increase the light of Allâh in your households.”

The monarch’s prayer of gratitude reads in part “We thank Allâh for the intelligence and intellectualism which He has imbued you with which has allowed you to publish and triumph rather than perish.

“This is a special favour and Rahmah of Allâh which He showers on whoever He likes. It is not by your might or wisdom or smartness. It is a special favour of Allâh. And which of the favours of Allâh are we going to deny?

“Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? Qur’an suratul Rahman, 55 verse 25.

“In the midst of our gratitudes, let us be humble and reflective. In the midst of our gratitude, let us re-dedicate ourselves to the service of Allah and His creatures.

“In the midst of our gratitude, let us give back from what we have earned to humanity in terms of knowledge, guidance to the young ones, wealth, Dawah, sacrifice, and support to the Ummah.”

Oba Olatunbosun, however, reminded that the success of this world is nothing comparable to the success of the hereafter.

He prayed that Allâh grant all Muslim ummah success in this world and in the hereafter.
