Osun Benefited More Micro Projects Under Gov Adeleke – Abokede

The General Manager of Osun Community and Social Development Agency,(Osun-CSDA) Mrs Funmi Abokede, has disclosed that 267 micro projects were funded and completed under the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Abokede made this disclosure on Wednesday during a 2-day Media Engagement on Performance for Result (PforR) Initiative and Osun Cares (DLI 1.4) Project Implementation workshop held at Ben-Ber Foundation in Osogbo.

The Osun-CSDA boss maintained that Governor Adeleke’s love to residents of the state at the grassroots enabled him to provide fund for the completion of the 267 micro projects spread across local governments of the state.

Abokede, who lauded Governor Adeleke further noted that since the creation of Osun-CSDA, micro projects funded and completed under this administration within one and half year has never happened before.

She,however,sought support of the media in showcasing successes of the agency in terms of the community driven and people’s oriented projects delivered, just as she enjoined them to continue to partner with the agency in educating, sensitizing beneficiaries on the need to embrace maintainace culture.

Speaking on project maintenance and sutainability, Admin and Supplies Manager of Osun-CSDA,Joel Adeniyi Adedokun, said the agency always start with quality management planning/quality control with inspection to project site at stages of project implementation.

He further explained that the agency always do test run on project after implementation to identify errors, defects and ensure they are corrected before putting the project into use by the beneficiaries.

Also, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager of the Osun-CSDA, Bashir Adeyemi, in his paper titled ‘Generating Beneficiary List and Its Importance’ highlighted three procedures for generating beneficiary list .

He said before a beneficiary list can be considered, Osun-CSDA staff will carry out needs assessment/PRA at the community, they will explain the funding process, procedure and solicit cooperation and support of the community.

“Beneficiary forms are thereafter released to CPMC chairman and secretary after needs assessment/PRA for compilation of the beneficiaries living within the project environment.

“The forms must be approved/signed off by the chairman and secretary at the bottom of every page.”
