Adeleke’s Infrastructure Performance Will Earn Him Second Term Without Campaign – LG Boss, Afolabi

Chairman of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun state, Hon. Lukman Afolabi, has said that Governor Ademola Adeleke’s performance in infrastructure will earn him second term without campaign.
Afolabi made this known while featuring on Agbo Oselu on OSBC radio, Osogbo on Monday.
The council boss who extolled the performance of the governor within his one and half year in office said governor Adeleke has turned around the fortune of the state with his N100 billion infra projects.
Highlighting the ongoing roads construction across the state, Afolabi said no local government in the state has not felt dividends of democracy under the administration of Governor Adeleke.
“Since I was born, I have never seen a government in Osun that has done what Governor Adeleke is doing, flyover construction is ongoing in Ile-Ife, Osogbo, and dualization in Ilesha, Osogbo, and Ede.”
Speaking on the claim that local governments as third tire of the government are no longer performing optimally as expected, Afolabi said the case is different in Osun despite the challenge of paurcity of fund.
“If you get to our local governments you will see that we have renovated maternity centres, dug boreholes and we are also planning to start another phase in wards across the state.
“If Nigerians are complaining about inactiveness of local governments, Osun local governments case is different because our governor is relating well with us.”
Commenting on security, Afolabi insisted that compare to the past administration, Governor Adeleke has improved on protecting the life and property of residents of the state.
Also, speaking on hunger in the state, Afolabi attributed the hardship to policies of the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying Governor Adeleke is doing all his best to ensure that he cushion the effect on Osun people.
