How I Sold Message Worth N4.5m For N25,000 – Commercial Driver
Operatives of the Police Anti-cultism Unit, Osun State Police Command hava arrested a 54-year-old commercial driver,one Olalekan Amos, for allegedly stealing and selling three amplifiers worth N4.5million for N25,000.
The suspect, who plies Benin to Osogbo confessed that he sold the electronics after waiting for five months of not seeing the owner from Benin who asked him to keep the amplifiers with someone in Osogbo.
He said he used the N25,000 proceed from the sale of the three amplifiers to treat himself when he felt sick and was in need of money.
Addressing newsmen on Friday during the parade of the suspect alongside twenty other suspects, Spokesperson of the command, SP Yemisi Opalola said “Sometimes in March 2024, the complainant who lives in Edo State reported that he employed the service of the above suspect who is a commercial driver plying Benin (Edo State) to Osogbo to deliver three amplifiers worth N1.5million each to one of his customers in Osogbo but to his dismay, the message was not delivered as agreed.
“Upon the report, the Police Anti-cultism Unit who have been on the trail of the suspect, on 4/7/2024 arrested him and confessed to have sold the said three amplifiers worth N1.5million each to someone at the rate of N25,000.”
Opalola further explained that the suspect will be charged to court upon the completion of police investigation.
