Ogbomoso : Chief Imam Ayilara Tenders Public Apology Over Hajj Trip

As the controversy on his trip to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2024 continues to be questioned by Soun of Ogbomoso,Oba Afolabi Ghandi and league of Imams and Alfa, Chief Imam of the town, Sheikh Yinus Ayilara, finally tendered public apology.

The Chief Imam, had earlier maintained that, Oba Ghandi does not have the authority to question him for traveling to the holy land of Mekka to perform Hajj.

Blaze Newz gathered that Oba Ghandi issued a query letter to the Chief Imam for not informing him before his trip to Mekka, the monarch insisted that his action contravene his appointment letter as Chief Imam of Ogbomoso land.

Addressing his supporters in a video obtained by Blaze Newz, on Friday,the Chief Imam was held saying “those who said we did not inform them before going to Hajj should not be offended.

He public apology voiced in Yoruba language reads “We want to beg them not to be offended, majority said I did not notify before I left for Hajj, but all those who came to mosque,attended Jumaat knew I notified.

“And the person who did not come here (central mosque) who said we did not notify him, oun nun Oloun nun.

“Therefore, those of you that we did not notified and are angry ,don’t be offended.”
