Remarkable Achievements Of Darul Irshad Proprietor, Sheikh Ibrahim In The Last Five Months

Reminiscing about 2024 landmark achievements of Lagos based Islamic and Arabic school, Daruli Irshad Wal Is’ad of Nigeria, last four months remain significance in its development.

Darul Irshad Wal Is’ad of Nigeria under the proprietorship of Sheikh Ibrahim Saheed Olawumi demonstrated high level of appreciating dedicated teaching staff by handing the sum of five hundred thousand naira (N500,000) to Shaykh Yaqub Abdul Kareem (Sheikh -ul- Madrasa) during his 40th anniversary in active teaching service for this school.

This achievement recorded on Wednesday February 7,2024, was first of its kind among Arabic schools in Lagos and under its proprietorship was said to be a motivation and encouragement to other young staff.

In his relentless effort to provide conducive environment which meet international standard for the learning of Arabic and Islamic knowledge, Sheikh Ibrahim commissioned new storey building with offices and class rooms for the madrasah on 17th of April 2024.

The commissioning of the new building received commendations from notable Islamic Scholars in Nigeria and diaspora.

Sheikh Ibrahim during the commissioning of the new building for the modrasat also made his intention known to the world that, the school under his leadership will be embarking on the building of ultra modern Mosque as he launched the two hundred million naira (N200,000,000) project.

Sheikh Ibrahim, who practices what he preaches to the world, took in a beautiful wife and walimatul Nikah was done on 5th of May, 2024 in a colorful way with Yoruba traditional touch, different scholars wore Aso Oke cap contrary to their usual Hausa caps.

Sheikh Ibrahim’s less satisfaction for what he has achieved in education following the popular saying that one must continue to learn until he leaves this earth after graduating from the prestigious University of Ilorin (Unilorin) for his bachelor degree in Literature in Arabic moved to Lagos State University (LASU) to acquire his masters degree in same course.

His master degree showed to the world his firm admiration for knowledge as a teacher and as Islamic preacher. This remarkable achievement was recorded on 5th of June, 2024.

Sheikh Ibrahim and his senior wife were among the sixty five thousand (65,000) Nigerian pilgrims who participated in this year’s Hajj.

He strongly upholds the six articles of faith which his travel to Saudi Arabia attest to this assertion .
