Olubadan: Makinde Approves Nomination Of Olakulehin

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the appointment of Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The governor made this declaration via a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, in Ibadan, the state capital.

The approval is coming 10 weeks after Olakulehin had been appointed by the Olubadan-in-Council.
Members of the Olubadan-in-Council, who are the kingmakers, had on Friday, April 12, 2024, appointed Olakulehin, who is the current Balogun of Ibadanland, as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Makinde, in the statement, said that he gave the approval in a memo signed on June 14, 2024, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 19 (Cap 28) Law of Oyo State 2000 as amended.
The governor congratulated Olakulehin and prayed that his tenure will birth greater developments in Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole.
