Afolabi Flags Off Construction of 1.5KM Nagode-Agbangudu-Akala Road In Ede South

Applauds Governor Adeleke in taking the lead in road construction

As part of commitment in ensuring that dividends of democracy is felt at the grassroots, Chairman of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon Lukman Afolabi, on Wednesday flagged off the construction of 1.5km Nagode – Agbangudu- Akala road.

The road which spur to Alfa Salawu road linking Ogberin road, in Ede South Local Government will be handled by Coal Sun and Power Limited Blaze Newz gathered .

Speaking, during the flag-off of the road, Hon. Afolabi said “With the directive of Mr. Governor to construct 1.5km in all the 30 local governments and area councils and in response to the yearnings of residents at the grassroots, the road will be constructed by Coal Sun and Power Limited.

“I also commend our Governor, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke for taking the lead when it comes to construction of road network within the state.

“Now, it’s the turn of the local government to construct 1.5km in there repective local government . I must say we are proud of his good works” Afolabi stressed.

He lauded Governor Adeleke for giving the council a sense of belonging in the construction of a 1.5km road.

Afolabi who assured that the road will be completed in the next 6 months, noted that it will improve the economic and socio-economic development of the people in the area and Ede at large.

Also, his counterpart in Ede East, Hon Hassan Oyelola appreciated Mr governor for the opportunity and also enjoined the community residents to support company handling the project for it smooth running.

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leader in the federal constituency and former chairman of Ede South local government, Elder Sunday Akanfe Atifade in his address thanked God Almighty and Mr Governor for making the reconstruction of the road a dream come through.



He said it is a flag-off program and the best appreciation goes to His Excellency for fulfilling all his campaign promises.

Engineer Ademola Adesoji, who spoke on behalf of Coal Sun and Power Limited urged beneficiaries of the road project to reciprocate the government’s gesture by taking responsibility for keeping the road from refuse, and drainage blockages.

He promised that the road will be completed in 6 months time rather than 8 months giving to them

Others at the flag-off are; Hon Sunday Akanfe Atidade, Hon Hassan Oyelola, party leaders, community leaders, local government staff, SSA, SA, Feyda, Artisans, market women students, and religious leaders.
