Markaz University College Lists Mode Of Admission

Markaz University College, Agege, Lagos, has said it will conduct post UTME for all candidates who picked the institution after Joint Admission Matriculation Board, JAMB, forward list of candidates to them.

The institution made this known on its Facebook page on Saturday.

According to the post “Markaz Post UTME to be conducted after the list of candidates has been sent. The list of candidates will be sent to institutions after the Policy Making Meeting of JAMB which is yet to be done. As soon as the Policy Making Meeting is done Markaz will announce date for its post UTME.

The Institution also explained mode of admission for it first set of students saying there are two modes of admission into the college.

Markaz University College listed admission through JAMB and amission through Direct Entry (DE)

1. Admission Through JAMB

Interested applicants will register and seat for UTME/JAMB and score up to the required cut off mark. He or she must have Arabic or Islamic Studies or both in his O level result (WAEC, GCE, NECO, NBAIS) with English in addition to at least three other art subjects.

2. Admission through Direct Entry

Interested applicants who have completed their Diploma programme at Markaz or other recognized institutes can proceed to obtain Direct Entry form from JAMB. They must present certificate of their Diploma programme in addition to their O level result. This will secure them admission into 200L. However, Direct Entry will commence next year 2025.

“It is important to take note that the Markaz programme runs two departments and of course two courses: Arabic and Islamic Studies both under one faculty which is Faculty of Arts” the institution said.
