British boxer, Mark Chamberlain on Saturday night defeated Nigeria’s Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab by Technical Knockout (TKO) in round 1 to capture the Vacant WBC silver lightweight title on the undercard of Fury Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

The Nigerian was torn apart by Mark Chamberlain in the first round of their bout on the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk undercard.

Joshua was unable to keep up with Chamberlain’s lightning start as the Brit extended his record to 16-0.

Wahab was left on the canvas, while the referee stepped in to bring the fight to an early end.

The scenes inside the ring then took a turn as Wahab was immediately given oxygen after the brutal knockout.

The 33-year-old’s team quickly surrounded him and hooked him up to an oxygen mask to ensure he was okay.

Reacting to the defeat, Wahab, wrote “Alihamduliah, To all my lovely Africa brothers and sisters, who supported me throughout this fight, I say a BIG SORRY for not being able to make you proud like I had wanted.

“I got caught with a clean shot which I didn’t really recover from before the final knockdown but I’m fighter with a lion heart and I know with your continuous support I will bounce back stronger, and to my opponent @markchamberlain400 congratulations I wish you all the best, to my promoter @dibellaent thank you for this opportunity am forever grateful, may God bless us all.
