Ede South LG Ready To Partner With NIPSS To Deliver Good Governance – Afolabi
Chairman of Ede South Local Government Area of Osun State, Alhaji Lukman Afolabi has expressed readiness of his council to partner with National Institute For Policy and Strategy Studies (NIPSS), in ensuring that dividends of good governance get to the grassroots.
Afolabi made this known on Thursday while playing host to participants of Local study tour of senior executive course of 46 2024 of NIPSS at his office.
Addressing members of NIPSS who paid , Afolabi stressed that the institute is a well known organization and its contribution to the development of Nigeria can not be quantified.
“W thank you for the support to the federal government of Nigeria” Afolabi said.
Speaking on the government of Osun State under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, Afolabi told NIPSS that the governor has renovated lots of Secondary and primary schools, renovated and equipped primary healthcare centre including electrification of rural areas.
“As you entered Osun most especially Ede, you must have seen different ongoing developmental projects.
“We the local government chairmen in this state have good rapour with the government to uplift this state” he said
Team lead of NIPSS, Comrade Godwin Obaje, appreciated the council Chairman for the warm reception to his office.
He urged the council chairman to do more in providing enable environment and facilities to young Nigerians with talent in creativity.
