Balogun Gambari Of Ilorin, Laaro Buhari Is Dead
The 11th Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alh, Abdulkareem Laaro Buhari Balogun Gambari, is dead.
He died early hours of Friday at the age of 97.
Blaze Newz gathered that the late Balogun was born on February 27th 1927, Alh Laaro Buhari, turbaned as the 11th Balogun Gambari of Ilorin in 1988 during the era of late 9th Emir of Ilorin, Alh Zulukarnain Gambari
The late Balogun of Gambari was a successful transporter that traveled to many countries outside Nigeria, including France, London, USA, Canada, and other European countries to get more business contacts.
Speaking with our correspondent, one of the children of the deceased, Alh Olayinka Buhari, extolled the virtues of his late father, saying that the late Balogun Gambari of Ilorin lived a life worthy of emulation.
Alh Olayinka Buhari noted that his late father would be missed solely, adding that as a disciplinarian, Philanthropist and a successful businessman who traveled across the countries in Europe, the late Balogun Gambari created a vacuum that would be too difficult to fill.
He said his late father contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Ilorin Emirate, pointing out the deceased significant contributions would continue to linger in the hearts of the people.
The Janaza for the deceased would hold this evening at half past four at Balogun Gambari compound, Ilorin.
He is survived by wives, children and grand children, including the Director of Marketing Radio Kwara, Hajia Segilola Alaya and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State, Alh Sulyman Tunji Buhari
