2024 Hajj: Osun Gets 1,764 Seats As Pilgrims Pay N4.5m Minimum Deposit

Osun State has received one thousand , Seven Hundred and sixty four (1764) slot of seats from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for 2024 Hajj.

The chairman of Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr Moruf lshola disclosed this while featuring on Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) radio program tagged ‘Akanse eto’ yesterday.

Dr Ishola explained that due to the current economic realities in Nigeria , especially the exchange rate of Naira ,the fare for this year’s Hajj is a bit above four and half million naira .

He implored all intending pilgrims from Osun state to top up their deposits and await the next official announcement of the final hajj fare by the Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board .

While promising a hitch free Hajj 2024,Dr Ishola said the board has commenced registration of intending Pilgrims for the year 2024 holy pilgrimage to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

While highlighting categories of age allowed to perform Hajj operation, he maintained that intending pilgrims who are elderly should be accompanied by those who are relatively younger and stronger so as to assist in taking good care of them,because Hajj exercise is strewn with many rigours and spiritual activities .
