Shakira Opens Up On Heartbreaking Split With Former Barcelona Player Pique Speaks On Current Situation

It has been over a year since Shakira and former Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique ended their 11-year marriage, but the singer has yet to move on fully, detailing her grief stages.
Blaze Newz recalls that Pique began relationship with the Pop star after the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which Spain won, and the footballer was central to the victory.
They have two sons together, Milan and Sasha, but divorced last June on allegations that the footballer cheated on his wife in their matrimonial home while she was away.
As reported by E!, she relocated from Barcelona to Miami with his sons to start a new life, claiming she started the new life in pursuit of happiness after the tumultuous experience.
Shakira’s stage of grief
Speaking to Billboard in a tell-all interview, the Colombian singer detailed how she is coping with the split and what stage of grief she is now.
“I’ve gone through several stages: denial, anger, pain, frustration, anger again, pain again. Now I’m in a survival stage. Like, just get your head above water. And it’s a reflection stage. And a stage of working very hard and when I have time with my children, really spend it with them,” she said.
The 46-year-old admitted the marriage stalled her career as she was focused on her children and modelling her marriage after her parent, who have been together for over 50 years.
“My priority was my home, my family. I believed in ‘till death do us part.’ I believed that dream, and I had that dream for myself, for my children,” she added.
However it was reported that Shakira had begun dating F1 star, Lewis Hamilton, after her divorce. Both have been spotted together, but neither have confirmed any relationship.
Casillas trolls Pique
Sports Brief reported that Iker Casillas trolled Pique by requesting Shakira’s hit song Waka Waka at the King’s League, a seven-a-side tournament the former Barcelona star organised.
Fans were chanting Shakira Shakira at one of the games, and the Real Madrid legend played along by asking for the song to be played to spite his old-time rival.
