Your Actions Need To Be Guided – Group Tells Osun Speaker Over Move To Remove OSEMSA GM

The Osun Concerned Elites, OCE, has called on Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun not to exercise power beyond his office.

The group made the call on Friday while cautioning the speaker against purported letter to the Head of Service directing to put in an immediate replacement of the General Manager of the Osun Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance , OSEMSA, Dr. Babatunde Olusegun.

OCE in a statement signed by its convener, Comrade Alabi Adaramoja, made available to Blaze Newz said the speaker exercised power beyond his office.

The group which applauded leadership of the speaker also insisted that he needed to be guided in order not to interfere unduly in exercising executive and judicial functions.

The group, which also frowned to the move of the Speaker against the OSEMSA GM said it discovered that the House never sat on any petition, inquiry or report at anytime requiring the appearance of the said OSEMSAS GM before the speaker wrote the Head of Service directing for his immediate replacement.

“You must be enlightened that yours is not to remove and replace any government official. That is clearly an affront on the powers of the Executive.

“Your excitements, emotions, biases and sentiments need to be cautioned so that you do not embarrass the Adeleke Administration of which has been putting smiles on the faces of the masses, giving priority to the welfare of civil servants and retirees.

“It was also discovered that the query which you acted upon was received by the said General Manager only yesterday after you had directed his removal and his immediate replacement.

“You are therefore enjoined to honorably reverse your decision with respect to the OSEMASAS General Manager because it was beyond your legislative duties and functions, the statement reads.

Also, the group in it statement alleged that the speaker horridly suspended the OSEMSA GM in order to favor his alleged medical doctor friend serving at UNIOSUN “We are in possession of information that a friend of yours who is a Medical Doctor serving at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital is your interest, as you have been pestering the Head of Service to announce that your friend’s name be announced as a replacement for the victimized General Manger of OSEMSAS.
