The Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment in Osun State, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi has urged the federal government to look for what can be done to reduce the price of petrol to the maximum of two hundred and Fifty Naira per Litre rather than bringing out Palliative.

He stated this while analysing how the Six thousand and three hundred bags of rice given to the state as part of palliative from the Federal government will be distributed.

He said nineteen bags of rice which will be given to each Ward will be distributed to the most vulnerable people in the society through a set up Committee having people that are closer to the poor people in the society among.

In an Interview with Alimi on Rave FM Osogbo on Wednesday, he pinpointed that some people that are seen as not been poor are actually poor stating that bringing out Palliative cannot solve the problem in Nigeria.

He added that federal government should look for what to do to bring back the Price of Petrol to Two Hundred or two hundred and fifty naira per litre stating that is the only way to Change the economic situation in Nigeria.

“The only solution to this thing is for the federal government, President Tinubu to find a lapses solution to the issue of fuel, how the fuel will be brought back to something like 200 or 250 Naira per litre that is the only thing that can solve the problem not the issue of saying palliative.”
