Adeleke Approves Training For Osun Workers

.. Encourages Career Women on Healthy Lifestyle.
As Osun state joins the rest of the world to celebrate Civil Service Week, the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved training of staff of the state workforce for capacity building and effective service delivery.
The disclosure was made by the Osun Head of Service, Mr. Ayanleye Aina at the 2023 Civil Service Week celebration, organized by the Osun chapter of Civil Service Union in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Building, held at the Local Government Service Commission Hall, Abere.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Human Resources and Capacity Building, Mr Olugbenga Fadele at the opening day of the programme, which featured Women’s Day Lecture, The state number one civil servant informed the women present at the programme that Governor Ademola Adeleke has given training and retraining of civil servants in the state a pride of place to sharpen their skills for optimum performance, saying the governor believes that it has been long overdue.
In her lecture tagged, ‘Violence in Marriage’, the resource person, who is the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, Mrs. Modupe Irelewuyi applauded the women in public service for being responsible in the discharge of their duties as civil servants and as mothers at their various homes.
The PS, who was represented by the Director of Women and Children Services, Princess Hannah Mosadomi, urged them to shun violence of all forms such as, female genital mutilation, economic violence, rape and assault among others, adding that the women make the nation and their safety should be made paramount. She also admonished them to go for periodic checkups to ascertain their healthiness.
Earlier in her welcome remarks, the state chairperson of the women wing of the Nigeria Civil Service Union, Comrade Atinuke Olayemi appreciated all the unions under the Osun state Civil service for their support and turn out at the event, adding that women play important roles in their various capacity, irrespective of their status. She then urged them to be more hardworking in the discharge of their duties.
In their separate goodwill messages, Trade Union Congress Chairperson, Comrade Bolanle Oladayo, Nigeria union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Chairperson, Mrs. Wumi Oyetunji, and Nigeria Labour Congress Women wing Secretary, Comrade Olubukola Akingbade lauded Osun government for being outstanding amongst other states of the federation.
