EPL: You Would Have Killed Me If City Spent £1bn Like Chelsea – Guardiola

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said critics would have “killed” them if they spent the money Chelsea have splurged on new players in the last one year.
Romeo Lavia’s arrival from Southampton in a £58million deal takes the Blues’ spending to almost £1billion under Todd Boehly.
Guardiola has now claimed their Premier League rivals are not getting enough media attention like they would have.
“I couldn’t sit here if we spent what Chelsea spent in the last two transfer windows – you would kill me,” Guardiola said.
“You will kill me, that is for sure. We’d be under scrutiny like you couldn’t imagine.”
