Commissioner for Transportation in Osun State, Sesan Oyedele has explained why it is necessary for every commercial motorcyclist to have the identity jacket and cards.

Responding to questions concerning the various associations that exists among the commercial motorcycle riders in the State, the Commissioner said series of meetings are ongoing in a bid to unify all of them under one umbrella.

In his words, “I want to assure residents of Osun State that the issue of jackets and identity cards for commercial motorcycle riders is to enhance security of both the rider and passenger. We need to have a data base of all riders in the State for our own good, we need to be able to monitor them”, he stated.

Also speaking on the programme, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Transportation, Hon. Moshood Adejare hinted that the present administration in the State will do everything possible to ensure safety on the roads.
