Why Serie A Referee Who Clashed With Mourinho Got Sacked By AIA

Italian referee, Marco Serra who insulted Jose Mourinho during AS Roma’s game against Serie A new boys Cremonese, has been dismissed by the Italian referee association.
Blaze Newz gathered that Mourinho clashed with referees on multiple occasions during the season and has come out on top in most of the spats after the incidents were subjected to further investigations.
He has lost a few battles and once admitted he was rightfully red-carded during his team’s 4-0 loss to Udinese as he had made a very foul statement towards the official.

One of the days Mourinho was not also lucky was his clash with referee Daniele Chiffi.
According to Reuters, the former Chelsea boss was suspended for 10 days and fined €50,000 for labelling the official the worst he has ever seen.
Sky Italia reports that Serra was omitted from the list of officials ahead of the 2023/24 season due to justified technical reasons that took into account his clash with the Roma boss and subsequent attitude.

Serra allegedly told the former Real Madrid boss to mind his business after questioning a freekick decision and further added that no one takes him seriously and he should sit down.
The 60-year-old claimed during his press conference after the game that he did not have any issue with the ref; he only wanted him to admit what he said to him and apologise to him like a man.
The former Inter Milan boss’ battle with officials was not left in the league. He ambushed English referee Anthony Taylor in the parking lot after the UEFA Europa League loss, which got him a four-game ban.
