Not All Foreign Products Are Quality, Nigerians Told To Patronize Locally Made Products

Dr. Yemi Ogundipe has urged the Federal Government to encourage Nigerians to embrace their locally made productions and consumptions

He maintained that Nigerians should stop having the mindset that only foreign goods are of good qualities thereby condemning Nigeria product.

Ogundipe explained that not all foreign products are of the required qualities indicating that those goods Nigerians complained to be of lower quality are foreign products that Nigeria buisness men repackage.

He however urged federal government to be deliberate in encouraging Nigerians to embrace their local products on Fresh FM Osogbo on Tuesday edition of Point Blank.

According to Dr. Ogundipe “We seem to love consuming foreign goods, there is need for government to be deliberate we still have to encourage people to embrace local production and consumption in Nigeria.

“Is very important, we have this idea even those imported goods some of them are not of the require quality, infact some of our business men they went outside there to demand for substandard product then they repackage it and they offer it for us again.

“We have that mindset that anything that is not foreign is not good enough, we have to correct that.”
