Tinubu Urged To Sign Nigerians Peace Corps Into Law

A veteran journalist, Olarewaju Akinfenwa has called on President Bola Tinubu to sign the Nigerian Peace Corps Establishment Bills into law.

He stated that if Tinubu is truly after what will benefit many Nigerians, he should sign the bill into law.

Blaze Newz gathered that the Peace Corps Bill had been sent to former President, Muhammadu Buhari but he didn’t assent to the bill.

Commenting on the bill on Fresh FM Osogbo on Tuesday, Akinfenwa said the bill will lift out many Nigerians from poverty through employment into the service.

According to Akinfenwa “The issue of this bills is something that even baffles me if you are claiming to be a new regime for the benefit of Nigerians, I think to my own mind they should have come up with people driven bills.

“All these bill we are talking about were adjourned by the ninth assembly passed unto ex- President Buhari he just came in read and started signing.

“But there was a particular bill which I think should have been at the forefront if they mean well for Nigerians and what is that bill it is the bill on “Nigerian Peace Corps”.

“Incidentally that bill was either sponsored or headed by the present Vice President, it is just to sign that bill and hundreds or thousands of Nigerians will be lifted out of poverty through employment into the service but that bill is still there.

“Is it that President does not trust his Vice President or he doesn’t want to alleviate Nigerians poverty? ” Said Akinfenwa.
