Fuel Subsidy Removal: Support Us In Making Nigerians To Opt For CNG – IPMAN Begs FG

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has implored the federal government to support them to get Nigerians to start using the Compress Natural Gas instead of Premium Motor Spirit Petrol for their vehicles.
The organization who spoke through its chairman, Dr. Bukola Mutiu said the working method of CNG is more perfect to that of petrol.
He said it is more safer to use CNG added that it reduces smoking vehicles within the town in an interview on Fresh FM Osogbo ,on Tuesday.

Mutiu further explained that the Kilometres a full tank of petrol can cover CNG will covers twice of it.
“With the workshop we went to and the explanation they gave to us there, it will be half of what you are consuming for petrol before, it is even more safer, you know we will be using kilometre to calculate, the kilometre that your full tank will cover CNG will cover double of it” said Dr. Mutiu.
According to IPMAN Chairman, “you know we are saying we want to have clean environment, clean atmospheres, there are two sector to that, the price of CNG if you notice the price of cooking gas at home now is coming down.
“That is why we are advising them that we should go CNG all these smoking vehicle within the town it will not be there again, their own method of working is more perfect than petrol that is one.

“Two, to convert from petrol engine to CNG is not that you will change the complete engine you will buy cylinder it will look like that cooking gas cylinder but there is different between it, once they put it there, the workshop that we are saying government should support us to have those workshop at our various filling station.
“Once you have it there within short period they will convert it, removing the injector of petrol changing it to nozzle for CNG you are good to go.”
He however appeal to Nigerians to bear with the federal government and bear with them that there will still be fluctuation in the price of petrol before the existence of stable price regime.
“We will just appeal to the good citizens of this country that they should bear with the federal government and bear with us we will still be having fluctuated prices it will be going down coming down before we have steady and stable price regime.” Said Mutiu.
