Democracy Day: Osun CSO Drums Support For Tinubu, Urges Nigerians To Be Patient

Celebrates 30th Anniversary of June 12

As Nigerians celebrate June 12 Democracy Day today, members of the Osun Civil Society Coalition called on their fellow citizens to have faith and trust in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In different interviews, some members of the organization who participated in the 30th Anniversary of June 12 rally walk through some areas in Osogbo, on Monday, said that since Tinubu had been inaugurated, he has been taking some proactive steps to make some certain corrections and put certain things in place.

They,however, called on Nigerians to be patient and learn to endure the process, “what we are doing today is a celebration of our dear democracy if we do not trust our leaders if we loose confident in them automatically whatever they are doing we will not see it as a policy and we will not obey it .

“Like the step Mr President has taken since the day he was inaugurated as the president of Nigeria, to me he has been taking proactive step to make some certain corrections and put certain things in place Nigerians have to be patience and we must also learn to endure the process.” Said, the coordinator of Democracy Vanguard in Osun State Comrade Olowu Emmanuel.

Also speaking, one of the members of the organization, Comrade Wale Balogun, blamed Nigerians for their political courteousness that the reflection of government Nigerians have is as a result of their attitude, he advised Nigerians to ask questions from their leaders.

He further said that he believed Nigerians are getting it right, that they should be determined for a change, Rome was not built in a day.

According to Balogun,” I want to belief that Nigerians we are getting it right is a gradual process, Rome was not built in a day, I want to belief that Nigerians will be determine for a change.

“And that is why the kind of government that we have is a reflection of our own courteousness politically, Nigerians just have to wake up, ask questions from their leaders.”

However, the Convener of dialogue 365, Waheed Saka said he hoped that President Bola Tinubu will do his best to go through the project of farewell to poverty in Nigeria.
