Osun APC Directs Members To Boycott Aregbesola’s Welcome Home Program

Members of the Osun Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have been directed to shun the welcome home program for the immediate past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

Aregbesola, who was the former governor of Osun for eight years among other ministers finished the second tenure with former president, Muhammadu Buhari.

Blaze Newz gathered that loyalists of Aregbesola will today, Wednesday, organize inter denomination prayer to welcome back Aregbesola to Osun at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo.

Osun APC members like other degnatories and lovers of the former governor are all invited to grace the program.

But the Osun APC through Alao kamoru on Monday issued a statement on behalf of Osun APC stakeholders warning members of the party to distance themselves from the program.

Kamoru insisted that Osun APC members were not invited.

His statement reads “Good morning house.
This is to draw the attention of all bonafide members of APC to the home coming program of Ogbeni Rauf ADESOJI Aregbesola that is taking place from Wednesday, 7thJune to Friday, 9thJune2023

“From the lined up of activities in the said program, APC is not invited and should not partake or participate in that program.

“All bonafide members of APC are hereby informed and advised that they should not attend , partake or participate in that program.”

Blaze Newz,however, gathered the invitation letter dated 31 May, 2023 was forwarded to Osun APC through the organizers of the program recieved by Makinde Oluwasan at the party Secretariat, along Gbongan, Ibadan Road.

The Osun APC has also mandated all stakeholders to attending a meeting today instead of the welcome back program of Aregbesola.

The directive reads “APC STAKEHOLDERS MEETING

In line with the directive of APC State Chairman and APC State Secretary, a stakeholders meeting of APC is holding tomorrow Wednesday 07/06/23 at 10am prompt.

Venue is the State APC Secretariat, Gbongan Road, Ogo Oluwa, Osogbo. Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Secretaries, Councillors, Supervisors and all stakeholders or political functionaries both at state and Local Governments are expected to attend as a matter of duty.

Attention of party leaders will be placed on physical attendance so as to update for Federal appointment at appropriate time. Thank for the understanding and cooperations.
