Fuel Subsidy Removal :Youth Group Meets Transport Leaders In Osun, Agree On New T-Fares

The Federation of Ede Youth Development Association, FEYDA, said it has met with leadership of Osun State Transport Management System (OSTMS) Ede zone for consideration of transport fares across Ede Noth and South local government areas.
This was disclosed in a press statement signed by FEYDA National President Comrade Afolabi Abiola obtained by Blaze Newz on Sunday.
Abiola disclosed the new transport fares for movement into Ede and out to her neighboring towns.

The statement reads in full “As the removal of fuel subsidy starts to impact the people, our noble association seeks to identify ways in which we can help alleviate the effects on our people.
“Today, the president, Comrade Waliu Afolabi, and some executives met with the leadership of the Osun State Transport Management System (OSTMS) in Ede zone to discuss potential solutions.

“In his address, the president expressed gratitude to the transporters for their invaluable social services and their significant contribution to the economic growth of our town. He humbly requested their consideration in determining the extent to which transportation costs within and around Ede township could be adjusted.
“Comrade Akibu Alarape, the chairman of Zone 8, which encompasses แบธdแบน and neighbouring towns, expressed appreciation for FEYDA’s intervention. He confirmed that they had already informed their members, instructing the mini-bus operators (Korope) to make only minimal adjustments to their existing prices.

“The meeting marked an important step in our collective efforts to address the challenges posed by the removal of fuel subsidy. FEYDA remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders to find sustainable solutions and alleviate the burden on our people. By working together, we can navigate these changes and strive for the continued growth and prosperity of our beloved town.
“The new prices according to him are as listed below:
Oke-gada To Akoda = โฆ250 (Old Fare = โฆ200)
Oja-timi To Akoda = โฆ200 (Old Fare = โฆ150)
Within the town drop =โฆ150 (Old Fare = โฆ100)
แบธdแบน to Lagos = N4,000 (Old Fare N3,000)
แบธdแบน to Osogbo= N400 (Old Fare โฆ300)
Township to Sekona = โฆ400 (Old Fare โฆ300)
