Senegal Wins First-ever U-17 AFCON Title

Senegal has clinched its first U-17 AFCON title following a comeback victory over Morocco in the finals played at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers last night.

The match was both nations’ first-ever U17 AFCON final. They showed determination and battled for possession throughout the match. However, it was Senegal who ultimately emerged victorious.

Skipper Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal gave Morocco the lead in the 14th minute which they held on to till the 79th minute when Serigne Falou Diouf converted a penalty.

Senegal clinch first-ever U-17 AFCON title after defeating Morocco
In the last few months, Senegal has won three continental titles. Asides from winning the U-17 title, they also won the AFCON 2021 crown and the AFCON Beach Soccer Cup.
