Why Biafra Agitation May Not Stop Under Tinubu’s Govt

The Chairman of Association of Young Lawyers Forum of Nigeria, Barrister Abiodun Sonaike has said, the release or non- release of Nnamdi Kanu will not stop the agitation for Biafra sovereignty.
Nnamdi Kanu who holds British citizenship, was arrested in Kenya around June 2021 and extradited to Nigeria to face trial for treasonable felony.
Sonaike said that the motive behind the agitation is what drives the agitation not the release or non release of Kanu on Fresh FM, Osogbo.

According to Sonaike “with or without Kanu I still belief that the agitation has an undertone that is beyond him.
“I feel that from what you read the other time about the fact that whether Kanu was released or not will not stop the agitation.
Blaze Newz gathered that Nnamdi Kanu who was arrested under President Buhari Government is still standing trial at the court whole President-elect, Bola Tinubu takes over the country’s leadership May 29.

Speaking on this, Sonaike said “The truth is that, whatever be the motive behind the agitation drives the agitation not the release or non- release of Kanu himself so, does it have the capacity to affects the Nigeria state or the new government I do not think so.”
