Breaking: INEC Writes IGP To Arrest Adamawa REC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has requested for the immediate arrest and prosecution of now suspended Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) , Barr. Hudu Yunusa Ari.
INEC made this known after the conclusion of its emergency meeting with all national commissioners of the commission held on Tuesday in Abuja.
The commission said it has Writen to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba for the immediate investigation and possible prosecution of the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Adamawa State, Barr. Hudu Yunusa Ari.

Blaze Newz recalls that Barr Ari allegedly declared Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the Adamawa supplimentory governorship election.
INEC also requested that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha to draw the attention of the appointing authority to the unwholesome behaviour of the REC for further action.

Speaking on its earlier collection of collation of results, INEC said “The collation process shall resume at a time to be determined by the Returning Officer.”
