Customers Express Anger As Banks Resume Operation In Osun With No Cash

After the conclusion of February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections, residents of Osogbo, state capital of Osun continue to experience scarcity of naira notes.

Blaze Newz gathered that majority of the Banks operating in Osogbo only opened operations to attend to customers with different issues inside the bank while their ATM are not dispense cash.

Some of the banks with no money for customers to withdraw are: Jaiz Bank, Eco Bank, Polaris Bank, and Keystone.

However, Zenith bank in Fakunle area as at the time of filing this report is dispensing cash for it bank users

Alhaji Nurudeen Adebayo who spoke to our correspondent at Ecobank lamented saying, “is this how we will continue to suffer to collect the money we work for?

“Despite our patience that after the general election things will change for the better” he said.

Also, Mrs. Oladele a P. O. S attendant, said” we are the one majorly affected by this situation, because, our work have not been stable since when this naira scarcity have started, how are we expected to cope when we have no other means of livelihood?

Oladele Olamide ,however, implore the government to help find solution to the problem because Nigerians are tired of living a life of frustration.

Also, Esther Abi, customer of Keystone said she was at the bank to lodge complain over issue of unsuccessful transfer she made to another bank, which her account has been debited.

Blaze Newz recalls that the new naira notes policy introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria reduced the volume of N500 and N1000 in circulation.
