2023 : Apologize To Electorate Over Unbearable Hardship In Nigeria – Islamic Cleric Tells Politicians

Founder and Director of Maadu Zumratul Soliheen Institutes of Arabic and Islamic Research, Osogbo, Sheikh Abdul Wahab Baani Afonta has called on Nigerian politicians to start apologizing to their fellow citizens over the hardship and insecurity bedeviling the country.

Sheikh Baani made the call on Wednesday during Ramadan Tesfsir programme held at the institute in Osogbo, state capital of Osun.

The Islamic scholar who frowned to high cost of living in Nigeria noted that elected office holders at all levels of government have failed in their primary responsibilities.

He explained that skyrocketed prices of foodstuffs have made life unbearable to ordinary Nigerians.

He, however, noted that the country is redeemable from all her predicaments if elected office holders can demonstrate readiness to be upright in their activities.

While urging politicians seeking for offices, Sheikh Baani said they should remember that they will give account of their stewardship to their creator in the day of Judgement.

He also enjoined all and sundry to be patriotic in their day to day activities and always pray for prosperity of Nigeria.
