Chairman of Master Bakers Association,Osun State chapter, Alhaji Ganiyu Bakare Onoopepo has insisted that they are ready to increase prices of bread if government failed to act over skyrocket coast of materials.
Alhaji Onoopepo disclosed this while featuring on Rave FM, Osogbo, on Thursday.
The Osun State bakers chairman who distanced his association from embarking on nationwide strike, also said leadership of his zone will be holding meeting next week.
He noted that decision at the meeting will determine action of the association.

“Bread is majorly consumed by the poor, we can not punish the poor by embarking on strike” he said
He further explained that all material used for break production keep increasing and bread baking factories are folding up.
He lamented high consequence of joblessness as workers in baking factories continue to loss their job.

He, however, urged federal government to reduce importation tax placed on flour, continuous increase of diesel price.
