Governor Gboyega Oyetola

Chief Press Secretary to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, Ismail Omipidan has boasted that his principle will campaign to secure his second term in office come 2022 with his achievements not with his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s successes.

Omipidan who was speaking on the planned integrity test on some selected Mega Schools constructed by Aregbesola’s led administration on Rave FM, Osogbo ,on Wednesday said the action was never to undermine the former governor of the state.

Blaze Newz gathered that after a signed letter by the Commissioner for works and Transport, Engineer Oluremi Omowaye for the planned integrity test on the Osun Mega Schools surfaced on social media , supporters of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola have been throwing blame to Oyetola led government of trying to witch-hunt and discredit the former governor in eyes of Osun people.

Reacting to the insinuations that Oyetola’s government is on the move to rubbish successes of the former Osun State Governor, Aregbesola , Omipidan said if what they are saying is true all uncompleted projects we inherited would have been abaundoned .

According to Omipidan ” What we are doing has nothing to do with politics or to undermine our former governor but we are interested in public good.

“If indeed we wanted to undermine the former governor perhaps maybe where we would have started from was to stop work from project we inherited” he said.

Omipidan also noted that rather than blaming the ex- governor over the substandard mega schools constructed , people like former Commissioner for works , Engineer Kazeem Salam should be held responsible for not doing a good supervision.

The governor’s aide , however, insisted that there are many achievements Oyetola led administration can boast of and also use to campaign , saying his principal has done well in numerous sectors.
