Call Yourselves Beautiful Names, Not Daddy, Mummy – Osun Monarch Urges New Couple

The Akire of Ikire-lle Kingdom, Osun, Oba Olatunbosun Abdulazeez has urged newly wedded couples to desist from the habit of calling themselves Daddy and Mummy.

Oba Olatunbosun made this known on Saturday while speaking at the solemnization of the union between Ikire-Ile born Prince ,Nurudeen Adedimeji and Rofia Oluwadamilola held in Ilorin, state capital of Kwara.

According to the monarch “There are beautiful names you can call your partner like; Sweetheart, Honey, My gold, My joy, Ife Mi, Ayo Mi, Eyinfunjowo, Agunleyinju, Ibadi Aran and so on.

“These names are very romantic and will go a long way towards strengthening the relationship and as well serve as action motivator.”

The monarch noted that human psychological frame of mind can affect the functioning capacity of the brain when couples call themselves daddy and mummy.

“Although, virtually all the things a father can do for her daughter the groom can do for his wife, but there are few essential things the husband can do to his wife that her father dare not!

“The bride’s mother also has limitation when it comes to the rapport between her and her son-in law!! So, do not place them in the same level.”

The monarch enjoined the bride to accept the reality of the husband being the Head of the house and see herself as the manager of the home affairs.

“Give your husband due respect and take good care of his property” he said.

The Akire who also stressed the need for wife and prospective wife to dress well said ressing sably before your husband is not good, let your husband continue to see the beauty in you all the time.

“At home, they (wivies) do not care about looking attractive to their husbands. So, what the husbands do not find in the house, they admire outside.”
