Approach Govt If You Wish To Take Back Your Schools – Falobi Advises Osun Missionaries

Owners of missionary schools in Osun State have been advised to approach the Governor Gboyega Oyetola led administration if they so desire to take back their schools.

This advised was made known by the President of Old Students Association of Methodist High School,Ilesa , OSAMETHSI, Engineer Dideolu Falobi during the weekend while addressing newsmen.

Blaze Newz gathered that early this month Ekiti State Government under the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi approved the returning of five missionary schools to their previous owners.

Falobi who was speaking on OSAMETHSI’s preparation for Methodist High School, Ilesa 65th anniversary ,noted that missionary schools were taken over by government because of poor management and inability to set expected standards.

He stressed that considering challenges which are confronting public schools across Nigeria ,ranging from poor renumeration of staff, inability to provide needed equipment for students to learn and unhelpful environment interested missionary management should approach the government.

Falobi who lamented poor standard of education in today’s Nigeria said during his days as students teachers were well taken care of by government and they as students enjoyed conducive environment to learn.

He enjoined missionary management in Osun who owns schools that are currently under the control of government to convince the state ministry of education,make them see the need why their schools should be returned.

He also, appealed to government to ensure that it take charge of regulating the education activities if their schools are eventually returned to them.
