Osun Poly Management Suspend Ongoing Examination Over Students Protest

The Osun State Polytechnic, Iree management have announced discontinuation of first semester examination 2020/2021 academic session for its Daily Part Time, DPT, National Diploma 2 students.

The announcement was contained in a memo signed by Olayide Lawal on behalf of the school registrar on Tuesday.

The memo reads “This is to inform all ND II DPT students that the ongoing 1st Semester Examination for 2020/2021 academic session is hereby suspended until further notice.

“I am also to inform you that new date for the continuation will be announced in due course” the memo said.

Blaze Newz gathered that the discontinuation of the examination was link to a protest staged today by some aggrieved DPT students who alleged the school management of imposing N10,000 late registration fee on them.

A student who spoke to our correspondent under anonymity said the protest was unnecessary saying the affected students were duly informed by the school management what the consequence of non payment of school fees will be.

“Now we will have to wait for a new date for the continuation of the examination” she lamented.
