Albadru Bread Bakers Defy New Prices Order, Give Reason

Bread bakers under Albadru, a company registered by the Jama’atu Taawuni Muslimeen National Headquarters , in Iwo Local Government Area, Osun State has insisted that they will not increase the prices of bread as directed by the Osun Master Bakers Association.

This was disclosed by the media director of the Muslim organization, Lukman Salaudeen on Monday, while featuring on Rave FM Frank Talk program on the issue of new prices of bread.

Salaudeen who acknowledged the fact that materials used for the production of bread have skyrocketed maintained that bread bakers under Albadru have resolved not to inflict more pains on the masses.

He explained that with the current prices of materials used to produce bread, bakers are still getting their profit.

“Our bread bakers will continue to maintain their existing prices in Iwo and its environs ” he said.

Blaze Newz gathered that bread bakers is Osun state had earlier went on few days strike to protest against high cost of materials used for production of bread.

They have now returned to business with new prices, bread sold before for N60 is now N80, the one sold before for N80 is now N100 while N120 is now N150 and the one sold for N200 is now N250.

Reacting, the chairman of Master Bakers Association of Osun State, Alhaji Ganiyu Bakare said he is surprised that some bread bakers are defying their association’s laid down guiding operation.

He said in the interest of the masses who consume bread daily and those in the business , they adopted moderate new prices of bread considering economy meltdown of the country.

He added that the new prices were not limited to Osun but cut across southwest states including Kwara.

“Those bread bakers who are refusing to key into the new prices have other means of getting money” Alhaji Bakare said.
