Osun 2022: Why Adeleke May Loss Again – Ex-lawmaker



A former state lawmaker of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun state, Honorable Funmilayo Olaseyinde has warned the family of Senator Ademola Adeleke to be cautious against being ruined politically by their associates.

Olaseyinde on Monday made this call on Oro Oselu of Rave FM, Osogbo, she insisted that if Adeleke’s family does not put their house in order it may affect the chances of Senator Ademola Adeleke of becoming governor in 2022.

The former PDP chieftain noted that despite Adeleke’s family being good and loved by the people of Osun, their associates are creating problems for them within the circle of Osun PDP.

“I have texted Dr Deji Adeleke to tell Senator Ademola Adeleke to return to Osun in order to start visiting aggrieved member of PDP for reconciliation ahead of 2022 governorship election” she said.

Olaseyinde, who claimed to be one of the pioneer members of PDP in Osun said she resigned her membership because of unresolved crisis within the party after several attempts by concerned leaders to return peace failed.

Olaseyinde who also confessed her admiration for former governor of Osun, late Senator Isiaka Adeleke’s leadership style said the current political leader of Adeleke’s family does not understand the dynamics in politics.

Recall Senator Ademola Adeleke contested for the post of governor in 2018 but narrowly lost to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in a re-run contest.
