2021 Int’l Youth Day: Embrace Entrepreneur To End Hunger, Poverty In Society – Lions Club Urges Youth



As part of humanitarian services to its host community , the Osogbo Living Spring Lions Club has organized a 1-day entrepreneur lecture seminar for youths in Osogbo charging them to embrace entrepreneur in order for them to defeat hunger and poverty.

Osogbo Living Spring Lions Club, a none governmental organization in conjunction with Youth Enterprise Development and Innovation Society, YEDIS, in commemoration of the 2021 International Youth Day on Saturday organized the 1-day seminar to sensitize hundreds of youths on entrepreneur.

Addressing the youths, Director General of YEDIS, Chief Akinpelu Olaore emphasized on the need for the young Nigerians to make use of opportunities within their society by translating them into money.

The YEDIS DG stressed that learning of new skills like how to make Adire fabric which its demand is becoming more than before in Osun can also aide them in becoming a youth who depends less on their parents financially.

“As you all know that Osun State Government has made it mandatory for all civil servants to be wearing Adire fabric every Thursday, this is an opportunity for you to make money” he said.

Also, in his remarks, President of the Osogbo Living Spring Lions Club, Lion Olasukanmi Olatunbosun urged the youths to make use of the entrepreneur teaches they have learnt from the One day seminar to better their life.

Lion Olatunbosun also charged them to see themselves as solution providers to many problems confronting the nation, urged them not to allow themselves to be used in causing destruction to the country.

He ,however, pledges that his NGO will continue to partner with youths through its different humanitarian programs.
