The Osun Progressives (TOP) has urged the immediate past Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam not to relent on promoting progressive politics for the wellbeing of the people and society at large.

In a message to mark Salaam’s 56th birthday, Chairman of TOP, Adelowo Adebiyi said it is the practice of progressive politics that can aid good governance and ensure quick development of the society.

According to Adebiyi, Salam has been consistent in progressive politics and has served purposefully in that regard and has been so recognised by all and sundry as a reliable politician.

Noting that Salaam has been identified as a frontline progressive politician in the State of Osun since his early days, Adebiyi said it is important that progressive politics be entrenched to bring about life more abundant and freedom for all as had been played by the political forebears.

He congratulated him for the reputation he has earned for himself within the 56 years of his existence, just as he stressed the need for him to do more as there is still a long stretch of time ahead of him.
