Yoruba Drummer, Ayanleke Set To Celebrate 20 Years In Industry



Popular Osun based Yoruba drummer, Ambassador Ayanleke Waheed Abiodun Oniluayo is set to celebrate his 20 years in the drumming industry.

According to the chairman of the planning committee of the program, Hon Kehinde Olakanmi in a press statement made available to Blaze Newz, said Ayan Event 2021 is in the quest for passion and making a society a better place.

He added that “Ayan event 2021 is a child of necessity born out of the compelling need to stress the importance of culture and to also venerate those who promote and give it a face worth.

He also noted that the programme has spanned 2 decades of memorable years in industry and it is one like no other, which has been immortalized to stay undying as far as culture remains.

Further explaining Hon. Olakanmi said “Ayan Event 2021 is quaternal (having four programmes integrated into one) and these 4-in-1 event is coined from ‘AYAN’ which initials are : (A)-Agalu festival, (Y)-Yoruba talking drum book launching, (A)-Award presentation, (N)-Number of years it has traversed in industry (20years).

“This event skirts around so many things which launching of book is one of them. The book is designed with the aim of institutionalizing and educating us about Yorùbá culture and Yorùbá sage way of beating drums.
